Columbia International College has once again added to its already vast and extensive campus with the recent addition of an all-new student fitness complex.
The newest facility, located on the corner of Main St. W. and Longwood Rd., is only a short walking distance from the Ainsliewood and Maple academic buildings, as well as the Oak Hall residence. The new building will be used primarily for recreational purposes; however, it is equipped with a few classrooms as well. The extra athletic facilities will provide students with greater opportunities to play sports such as basketball, ping pong, as well as participate in fitness and team building activities.
With the building now officially opened, students have even more resources available to help them develop their ASEP needs. The addition of the Longwood facility is one of many enhancements Columbia has made over the past few months. Last year, the school renovated Ainsliewood’s front entrance which included increased space of key resources including the Guidance Office, the University Placement Office and the Campus Safety Office.
The new Longwood facility is one of the many ways Columbia is enhancing the overall student experience while fostering student success.
