New Partnership Program with the University of Toronto

The University of Toronto (U of T), officially welcomed the partnership between Columbia International College (CIC) this past Thursday evening. The Elite Pathway Partnership Program (EPPP) is the only official partnership recognized by the University.

What is the Elite Pathway Program?

The EPPP program is designed for high academic achievers at CIC.  The students are given specific workshops, such as English essay writing, time management, etc,  provided by the Academic and Guidance office.  This program also offers experiential learning provided by Student Development, which exclusively offers the Duke of Ed Gold Award for these Elite Students and the opportunity to be part of the Model UN team.

All of the components in the program are designed to have these elite students accepted into the number 1 University in Canada.  With all of these components added together, this gives students the tools to be successful both in and outside the classroom.   All the skills acquired in this program are designed to prepare these elite students, not only for university and future employment, but for life.

U of T Partnership

Another major component of the EPPP is the exclusive visits and information sessions provided by U of T.  The EPPP students recently attended their first session at the St. George Campus, where they were given certificates officially welcoming them into the program.  An information session was also provided by 2 U of t faculty;  Mr. Ken Withers, Director, Office of Student Recruitment, and Professor and Vice President International, Ted Sargent.  The students had the opportunity to learn more about U of T, and the array of programs offered.

The U of T representatives and CIC staff, are extremely excited to see what the future holds for these bright young students.  Congratulations to all of the EPPP students.  Please see the photos from the recent U of T Visit below:
